These are the rules for using Tingjar. Tingjar is run by SlayerBlade, an individual developer based in India, and published on Google Play by HEHKU. By signing in you agree to them. Our privacy policy covers what data we keep.
Who can use Tingjar
- You must be 18 or older. We close accounts that belong to anyone younger.
- You must live in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. Those are the only countries Tingjar is open in for now. Don't use a VPN or other tools to look like you're somewhere else.
Coins
- 1,000 coins = $1 (US dollars). The rate is fixed, and the app shows the dollar value next to every coin figure. If the rate ever changes, we give 30 days' notice, and coins you earned before the change keep the old rate.
- Coins have no value outside Tingjar and can't be sold, bought or transferred to another account.
- Some coins start as pending. Beta-test completion coins are pending for 72 hours. Coins from partner offers are pending for 30 days, because the network pays us late and can take back payment for fraud. The app shows the date each one clears.
Not gambling, not a financial product
You earn coins for doing tasks: playing, testing, answering. You never pay to take part, and no amount you earn depends on chance. Tingjar is not gambling, a lottery, a sweepstakes, a bank account, an investment or a payment service. Coins earn no interest and are not a deposit.
Cashing out
- Your first cash-out is $1. After that the minimum is $5. We charge no fee.
- Two ways to get paid: PayPal, to the PayPal email you give us, or an Amazon gift card, sent to the email on your Tingjar account for the Amazon store of your country.
- Payouts are sent by hand. A person sends every payout. We aim to send within 24 hours of your request and always within 3 business days, unless the payout is on hold.
- A payout shows as Paid only once it's sent, with the PayPal transaction ID or gift card order ID, so you can check it yourself.
- New accounts can cash out up to $10 a week in their first 30 days, then up to $50 a week.
- You can change your payout email once every 30 days, and not while a cash-out is open.
- Thresholds don't move for coins you already have. Any rule change gets 30 days' notice, and balances earned before it keep the old terms.
PayPal and gift card terms
- PayPal payouts are sent in US dollars. You need a PayPal account that can receive payments where you live. If your account uses another currency, PayPal's conversion and any fee PayPal charges you are between you and PayPal.
- Amazon gift cards are bought for the dollar amount at that day's exchange rate in your store's currency. They are subject to Amazon's gift card terms, can't be exchanged for cash, and aren't replaced if lost after delivery. Amazon is not a sponsor of Tingjar.
- Check your payout email carefully. If it's wrong and the payout reaches someone else, we can't always get it back.
Holds and appeals
- Sometimes our fraud checks hold a payout or an account. When that happens you'll see the reason in plain words, what we're checking, and how long it usually takes (under 24 hours, at most 72).
- Coins on hold move to an On hold bucket. They are not deleted.
- You can appeal any hold from the app, or by email to support@slayerblade.in with the hold ID. A person answers within 24 hours.
- If we ban an account, we tell you the reason and you can appeal. Coins you earned from verified tasks are still paid, unless the fraud was in those tasks.
No ratings or reviews
Tingjar never pays you to rate or review an app, and no task will ask you to. If you rate or review an app because of a Tingjar task, we remove you from that task and its coins aren't paid.
One account per person
One person, one Google account, one phone, one payout address. If two accounts share a phone or a payout address, we hold their payouts until we've checked. Don't use emulators, bots or tools that fake app usage.
Reversals
We never quietly take coins away. We reverse coins only for confirmed fraud, or when an offer network takes back payment for that exact offer. Each reversal shows up in your ledger as its own line, naming the task or offer and the reason.
Tax
- Rewards may count as income where you live. You're responsible for any tax on them.
- Payouts above $500 in a calendar year are paused while we confirm the tax treatment and collect any form the law requires. Your coins stay in your account.
- The wallet shows how far you are from each limit from day one.
Stopping
You can stop using Tingjar at any time and delete your account in the app or by email. If you have coins above the cash-out threshold, cash out first, or ask us and we'll pay them out before deleting.
If we ever shut Tingjar down, we'll give at least 30 days' notice and pay out every balance above the first cash-out threshold.
Liability and law
We provide Tingjar as it is and can't promise there will always be tasks for you. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the value of the coins in your account. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer laws of the country you live in.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without taking away the protection of the mandatory consumer laws where you live.
